Cotton Ginning Days
October 9-11, 2009
Exhibitors from all over the southeast will convene in Dallas, NC for the annual crank-up of antique engines & tractors. Also see an authentic 1890's heritage village, complete with re-enactments. The festival offers a little something for everyone. There is a large kids' area on Saturday, arts and crafts sale are featured daily, bluegrass/folk/gospel music is provided on 2 stages. Admission and parking are free.
25,000 attendees expected.

Blazing Saddles 4-H Club will be giving horse rides
County 4-H Clubs will be supporting "Dirt Babies" activity booth

Thank you to everyone who helped out that Saturday! I've heard wonderful comments on both the horse rides and dirt babies. Almost 200 dirt babies were constructed and thoughts are circulating around Extension to make this an annual activity. If you have any suggestions for improving the activity please let us know.
